Robust forklift terminal

The forklift terminal Thor VM1A was designed for the challenging tasks in warehouses, logistics and intermodal transport. To be sure it achieves especially good results, Honeywell has equipped it with an exchangeable 8'' WXGA LED-backlit touch display (resistive or capacitive), among other things. This is suited for both indoor and outdoor use and is available with either 400 or 900 nits. A QWERTY keyboard with 64 keys, a numeric keypad and multiple function keys also simplify the terminal’s operation.

Additionally, the forklift terminal convinces with an Android operating system. Besides its user-friendly interface, it ensures that the user has access to the many benefits of the Mobility Edge platform: less integration effort, lower costs and extra-long flexibility.For top performance, the Thor VM1A relies on a Qualcomm 660 octa-core processor with 2.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM and 32 GB flash. The WLAN 5 and 2x2 MIMO ensure a good connection at all times, as well as the interfaces Bluetooth 5.0 (Low Energy) and NFC. Thanks to the clever smart dock bracket, the Thor VM1A may be moved from one vehicle to another during operation in a few simple steps. The powerful battery bridges all connections and applications for up to 30 minutes, increasing productivity and reducing downtime.The Thor VM1A is also robust: it has been tested according to MIL-STD-810F standards and is completely dust-proof according to IP66. It even withstands short-term deluges, like a tipped-over water glass. Plus, it is optionally available as a resistive variant with an integrated defroster for use in cold environments and freezers. Therefore, large temperature differences from -30 to +50 °C during operation or from -30 to +70 °C during storage, as well as non-condensing humidity from 5 to 95 percent, are no challenge for the vehicle terminal.
