Omni-directional hybrid barcode scanner

The omni-directional presentation scanner Honeywell Orbit is an institution at the POS. The Orbit 7190g seamlessly integrates and extends application possibilities. The Orbit's convenient swivel-base mounting plate provides more efficiency: a rotation to the customer switches the laser off automatically and the 2D area imager on. Turn it back again and the Orbit automatically returns to the omni-directional 1D laser mode. Benefit from superior laser scanning speed at the POS and score points with customers with the integrated 2D area imager, payment, couponing and loyalty applications.

The compact hybrid barcode scanner creates more space the counter. Gas stations, pharmacy or supermarket checkouts are therefore ideal areas of usage. But it is equally excellently suited for event entry areas or in healthcare, for example, at patient reception. Various interfaces from a keyboard wedge to a serial or USB port ensure for non-problematic installation at a later time. Because of its light weight of just 410 g, the 7190g is ideally suited for operation as an omni-directional handheld scanner, for example, for scanning large and bulky objects which cannot be lifted onto the cash desk.
