The Honeywell Xenon 1972 has been specifically designed for demanding manufacturing applications where even the most challenging barcodes must be captured reliably. Combining an intelligent Direct Part Marking (DPM) decoding platform with innovative illumination, it reads damaged, low-contrast and reflective barcodes, as well as markings on curved surfaces, with exceptional speed and accuracy. Its high-performance optical system captures barcodes down to 1.5 mil (1D) and 2 mil Data Matrix resolution, making it ideal for electronics manufacturing, automotive production, battery manufacturing and the photovoltaic industry.

Built on the proven Xenon XP hardware platform, the Xenon 1972 delivers outstanding durability for industrial environments. Bluetooth 4.2 provides a wireless range of up to 100 metres, while the battery supports up to 80,000 scans on a single charge for reliable all-day operation. Centralised device deployment and management are also straightforward with the Honeywell Scanner Management Utility (SMU).
