Intelligent cash drawer controller for modern mPOS systems
The Star mC-Connect Drawer has been specifically designed for modern mPOS applications, enabling seamless integration of cash drawers into mobile and cloud-based POS systems. Cash drawers are controlled directly from tablets, smartphones and POS terminals, regardless of whether a stationary POS printer is installed. This makes the controller ideal for retail, hospitality and other environments where flexible checkout solutions are required. Combining USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity in a single device, the mC-Connect Drawer provides a straightforward way to modernise existing POS infrastructures. Multiple mobile POS devices access the same cash drawer, supporting flexible operating models and enhancing customer service.
Thanks to Bluetooth Low Energy technology, the mC-Connect Drawer also allows users to define the operating range within which cash drawers may be opened. To further enhance security, it continuously monitors the status of connected cash drawers in real time. Opening and closing events, as well as any disconnection of a cash drawer, are detected effortlessly and communicated to existing software, network monitoring or video surveillance systems. Support for StarPRNT and existing Star SDKs simplifies integration into established POS environments, making the mC-Connect Drawer a future-proof platform for modern cash management solutions.
